Seed saving (September 17, 2016).

We are:

  • sharing seeds
    • In 2016, we gave away over 125 packets of wildflower seeds grown at 7 Acre Wood Farm.
      • Each packet contained: Purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), Lanceleaf coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata), Common yarrow (white) (Achillea millefolium), Maximilian sunflower (Helianthus maximiliani), Common evening-primrose (Oenothera biennis), Mexican sunflower (Tithonia rotundifolia), Cleome, Spider Plant (Cleome hassleriana), Flowering tobacco (Nicotiana alata), Indian Blanket, Firewheel  (Gaillardia pulchella), Cosmos (orange) (Cosmos sulphureus)
        • In 2017, seed sharing continued; over 100 packets were distributed at two events – a local garden club meeting and a family wedding.
          • Seed-sharing continues in 2018 with hundreds of seeds shared already in January, 2018.
